I have three different Gotrek models, so hell yeah, I’m gonna use all of them.
I also really enjoy the idea of a rich war host full of mercenaries.
Lords of the Lodge will allow my unit of 30 Hearhguard Berserkers to attack twice per turn.
Maybe it will be enough for getting rid of all these annoying Flesh Eating Courts armies out there.
Artefacts, Command Traits & Abilities
Mandatory is the Battle-Scarred trait and the Helm of Obsidia icon, both on the Runefather.
Greyfyrd gives me two more artifacts, so I added the Ash-Cloud (bearer can attempt to dispel two spells) and the Battlesmith will carry the Nulnsidian Icon, that cancels the effects of spells and endless spells on a 4+, thus further protecting the large Hearthguard unit.
The Glowhelm looks like a nice addition, but let’s see how effective those 4+ are.
Runefather, who stares down people, like the bullies in my home town.
A tag team of Runesons, hunting big game together and rerolling.
A Runemaster, because the Lords of the Lodge must have one.
A Battlesmith, because I love my modified model.
10 x 2 Vulkites as for both cannon fodder and taking objectives.
30 Hearthguard for smashing stuff.
10 Hearthguard for an extra punch.
Lords of the Lodge. Attacking twice is a nasty bonus.
None, we mercs don’t share our gold.
Magic, Endless & Realm Spells
Prayer of Ash for the Runefather, Searing Heat for the Runesmiter.
Spread the floor and have the big unit to take care of regenerating and/or heavy hitters, while the rest goes objective hunting.
The Runemaster will join the big unit, while the two Runesons will play Geralt of Rivia.
