– Artefact : Gryph-feather Charm: Not bad as long as she’s going to stay on a balewind
– Artefact : Shardfist Pelt: Top tanky item for a guy that aims to tank the world with a good after save roll already.
Heroes is the core of the army.
Benchwraith is the general because it’s job is to sit with object holders and keep them out of battleshot if needed, that’s why he need 12″ on command abilities. She is there to buff and cast into the portal.
Anointed of Asuryan on Frostheart Phoenix, best tank in the game with 4 spell cast in the herophase. His job is to engage asp at least 2 units. It goes with 2+ TS and reflect MW at 4+. Pretty much immortal. His job is to let alarielle free to kill large units and don’t make the 20 guards Btest.
20 x Phoenix Guard
Core absolute unit. This need to dominate the middlefield beeing around 8″ from the anoited to avoid Bshock test and get the command ability buff. You want them as close as possible to the main objective.
Objective Holders – Good at get asp objectives and camp there. High movement Blines with a good TS.

Spell portal is here to maximize the 1st turn cast and the metamorphosis.
The game is focused early on protect heroes. So you need to stay as inside as possible to the Phoenix guards. Heores should stay at least at 12″ to buff the phoenix in the first turn.
After your opponent goes, or you go with 4 drops, you decide if:
a) Alpha strike by flying of 16″, use a CP to make 20 guards run of 6″, drop with Alarielle a unit and then charge with everythin.
b) move forward carefully and cast all defensive spells you can on your phoenix and Alarielle if they can shoot her. Then you engage with the phoenix and on turn 2 you charge with almost everything and you go all in.
Usually you go for: tanky like objectives. You have a wide tankyness respect to the mobility of others armies.
