With the Sequitor blob and Vandus’ passive immune to battleshock (24″), your Sequitors can simultaneously, be immune to battleshock, rerolling hits or saves and if you use CP you can make all units wholly in 12″ gain an extra attack. Alpha Strike like a boss.
Hammers gives you +1 to your bravery, which frankly is useless when near Vandus, but gives you better survivability while your Evos on Cats run around the table deleting things.
Artefacts, Command Traits & Abilities
Command Ability: “Soul of The Stormhost” is beneficial for if your Sequitors or Liberators die. On a 5+ bring the whole unit back. If used on the 20 blob, and successful, this is downright terrifying.
Command Trait: “We Cannot Fail” Gives you a 6+ wound ignore when wholly within 9″ of general
Artefact: “God Forged Blade” If unmodified hit is 6 add 1 to damage.
Vandus Hammerhand – Source of battleshock immunity and potential extra attack.
Lord Castellant – General and buffer of saves making your Sequitor‘s saves 3+ rerolling if you so choose. Bonus: Comes with Gryphound that allows Judicators to shoot when models are set up.
Lord Relictor – Teleport units via Translocation anywhere on table, including himself.
Knight Incantor – Extra mage on the table to cast Azyrite Halo on you Sequitors for bounce back wounds on unmodified saves of 6.
Sequitors – Uhhh. Hell yeah.
Evos on Cats – Less models per unit, but for an extra 100pts per, you can move more than twice as far, reroll charges, subtract 1 bravery from enemy units near them, and get the attacks from the cats themselves. Worth.
Liberators – Battleline, good for objective holding
Judicators – Filling the shooting role of the army. Pairs well with the Gryphound you can bring with Castellant.
Magic, Endless & Realm Spells
Really this is about the alpha strike with Vandus, Seqs and Castellant. If the rolls are with you, you’re charging with Vandus and Sequitors turn 1, dealing ridiculous damage. Even if you don’t really get much out of the charge, you can at the very least bully them forwards into a charge from your Evos, giving you bonuses to their attacks. Sandwiching them between two damage sources of immense power.
